First Shoot of the year with Jenn was pretty darn good.

This was my first shoot of the year and my first shoot with Jenn. The first “anything” of the year is filled with the pressure of setting the tone for the rest of the year. If this shoot is any indication of what this year will hold, then I feel pretty good.

We headed out to one of my favorite spots to shoot. And gosh darn it, wouldn’t know it, it was closed due to snow! So, plan B was that there was no plan B. I did however earlier in the summer find a promising location that was hidden from the side of the road. When I explored it this past summer it was a dry creek with some interesting rock formations. We headed back to where that location was and luckily it was full of snow melt. We decided to shoot there and I’m so glad that we did. With a great model and a great location, it’s not that hard to get a least a couple of good shots. I hope you agree!

After we were done at that location, we went looking for other places to shoot. We found a couple more and actually ended up in the snow at a day use picnic park with no people around. A fun day of shooting with a great model.

Jenn wanted to be photographed in this beautiful vintage dress. I think that turned out to be a good idea.
